Organic Cotton Dust Mite Barrier Pillow Protectors and Covers are free from any chemical finishes. These are just extremely tightly woven organic cotton to prevent dust mite eggs from penetrating the covers. These tend to be a little warm as they don't breathe all that well in my opinion. 
I take these wherever I travel. I have a pillow protector and a sleeping sac so that I am not exposed ot whatever may be lurking on the bed I am sleeping on. 
We make these with our tight tooth nylon zippers to keep the mites OUT!!!
