Organic Latex Mattresses are the best way to keep chemicals out of your life. In fact, the second most toxic item in an average home is your mattress. Organic mattresses are the solution to the toxic load issue that is resulting in weight gain, hormonal issues, and autimmune issues. Research over the past 50 years has found over and over, that we need to sleep as pure as we can so our bodies can rebuild and heal. But most people are spending their nights detoxing from the chemicals in the mattress they are sleeping on.
The average mattress contains chemical flame retardents, petroleum derivatives, and latex mattresses are made from two petroleum-based compounds, styrene and butadiene. Both of these are toxic VOCs and can do serious harm. Also, additional toxic chemicals may be used during processing.
Our mattress is simple as can be to keep out chemicals. We sell the GOLS Certified Organic Latex Cores and the covers or fancy mattress outers so you can make yourself a premium mattress at a lower price. In fact, mine is 18 years old and feels like the day I first used it.
How to create your mattress:
Decide if you want 3", 6", 9" Then purchase the cores you want.
6" - Most prefer a Firm or Extra Firm Bottom with a Soft or Extra Soft Top for a 6" Mattress. So you purchase the 2 cores then choose your zip on cover.
9" - You can use an Extra Firm, Firm, or Medium for the bottom. Then a Firm, Medium or Soft Center. Then a Soft or Extra Soft Top. Lighter weight people seem to do best with softer cores, where densely built or heavier persons get better support with more firmness.
And you can get Queen and King beds with split cores in case you and your partner have different preferences.
Insulator pad is an optional 1/4" thick organic wool pad that goes on top of the latex cores and inside the cover to allow more breathability and softness.

If you change your mind over time, you can always get just a core to replace one you get tired of. We use our own personal cores for our pets.
1. Pick 2-3 layers of 3" latex
2. Pick a Cover - Just plain organic cotton damask, or our fancy quilted organic cotton/wool outer cover. These zip arund your latex cores keeping them secure and protected from the elements.
3. Get an optional wool insulator pad
